We were all up early this morning. We had to be ready for the
notary appointment at 9:00am. Everything is signed and stamped,
so Caitlin is officially ours.
After the notary appointment, we went shopping at Trustmart, the
Asian version of Walmart. Even saw many of the Walmart Great
Value brands. We stocked up on bottled water, chinese crackers,
some candy, and fast noodles. We bought several BIG containers
of water, and now that we have them back at the hotel room, we
can't get them open. Where is a strong man when you need one? I
guess i will have to call the front desk in the morning, and see
if someone can help me open one.
We had a quiet afternoon, with the big girls trying to do some
homework, and Caitlin showing us her skills. She can print the
ABC's in both upper and lower case. She wrote her numbers up to
20. She was also playing some sort of math game on the Kindle,
and doing "simple algebra" and getting the correct answers. She
seems very bright. We walked in the Garden, fed the fish and
chatted with some other adoptive families. We have seen many
adoptive families, but of course, nothing like it was "in the
day" when I was here in 2002 and 2004.
Some of the honeymoon phase is wearing off. Camille was very
irritated with Caitlin this afternoon. I think she is tired of
sharing, or just need a little more attention. Also, Camille
wasn't feeling well this evening, so we ordered room service.
Our itinerary has been changed a bit, and tomorrow afternoon we
are doing the medical exam. |
