“If you are not too long, I will wait here for you all my life.” –Oscar Wilde

What's keeping us busy while we wait? Our kids!
Here are a few highlights. We will update every month or so until we travel to China.

Jessica

Jessica, Jessi, Jessie, Jesse, Jess…(depends on the day, depends on the mood) is our very individualistic and expressive 14-year-old daughter. The girl LOVES to dance! When she is not at the studio with her ballroom team or practicing individual routines with her partner, you can usually find her in her bedroom, “in privacy time”, with the sounds of cha-cha or jive vibrating through the closed door. Jessi is a perfectionist in every sense of the word. She plays the piano beautifully and won’t settle for anything less than straight A’s. She can’t wait for Sophie to come home!

Nathan

You can usually find Nate, 11-years-old, chill’in with his hoops and tunes. He LOVES basketball (or any sport for that matter) and country music! He is the happiest with a fully charged i-pod battery, a basketball, and a handful (or entire package) of E.L. Fudge cookies! He has grown several inches this year and is always hungry! He is very funny and keeps us laughing with his quick sense of humor. Nathan is a talented pianist and has played since the first grade. If given the option however, he would tell you that he’d rather play the guitar than the piano…just like Kenny Chesney!

Christian

Christian can be easily described in one word…happy! You rarely see Christian, 8-years-old, without an infectious smile on his face. He is easy-going, loving and so easily pleased with the simple things in life. He loves to chat and is a great conversationalist. Many, actually, have told us that he’ll be a politician someday. He does have that “flashy” smile and has been known to recite the preamble to the U.S. Constitution to those waiting in lines at Disneyland. Christian stands for everything right and good. He wants to be a cowboy-policeman when he grows up and was recently honored at school as the 2nd grade “Builder of the Year”!

Michael

Michael, 7-years-old, is the little one with big artistic flair! He spends hours creating and can always be found with smudges of paint and marker on his hands and face. He is very observant and is the first one to notice a beautiful sunset or the colors on the mountains. We have pictures he has made, too-numerous-to-count, of every kind of dinosaur imaginable. Let me tell you, he can paint a mean T-Rex! He started the 1st grade this year and mom has missed having him in the backseat of the car speculating on various eras of the dinosaur. Of course, he wants to be a paleontologist or a snake hunter when he grows up!
