Hi Everyone,
Today was another slower paced day. We had a free morning. We
walked in the gardens, fed the fish, and the girls played hackey
sack some more.
After lunch, we went to the Chen Family Temple
and Folk Art place. Then we went to a park, where there is a
miniature Statute of Liberty. It is a actually a memorial to
some people killed. It was pretty, and the trees had a type of
moss hanging from them that reminded me of the Spanish Moss on
the trees in Savannah.
We shared a lovely dinner at a Thai restaurant with three other families, two whose blogs I have
followed for a couple of years now. Vickie from "Just a Min-ute
Mom" is here with her 16 year old and they have a new 8 year old
daughter. Jean Mulvihill from "There's no place like home" is
here with her husband, son, and 12 year old daughter, two new
adopted daughters 10 and 7, and they are adopting a 3rd on
Monday (and have 9 more adopted kids at home!). It was so nice
to share some adult conversation with these families, as well as
see all these beautiful kids that now have loving families. |
