OCTOBER 2005

On 10/6/05 drove to Chattanooga in heavy rain to pick up homestudy.  Then went to Staples and made 4 copies of all originals and certifications.

On 10/7/05 drove back to Chattanooga to get homestudy county certified and again it was raining cats and dogs.

On 10/9/05 went to Staples and made copies of homestudy and certification.

On 10/11/05 we were fingerprinted in Nashville and had all documents state certified as well…long day!

On 10/12/05 I spoke to Trish at Zach Wamp’s office and she said allow USCIS 6 weeks to process and if I don’t have my approval to call her back and she can do a congressional inquiry.

On 10/13/05 began looking at various options for creating an adoption journey website.  Really loved the designs of myadoptionwebsite.com!

On 10/21/05 found a number for USCIS and called it yesterday.  I got a call back today from Jeanine and she said we would get form by 12/6/05, which will be 8 weeks from the day of fingerprinting.  Also finished up application letter to CCAA and had it notarized at the bank.

On 10/24/05 went to court house and received Jurat for application letter to CCAA.  Then made copies and sent to the Tennessee Secretary of State.  We should have it back by Thursday or Friday and then will send on to the “Assistant Stork”.
I must share this little funny from Mel!  This morning I rushed downstairs to check myadoptionwebsite.com and see the progress of all the families in China right now.  Well Mel yelled for me and when he realized I was downstairs on the computer he said, "my honey is turning into a compoootr!"  "She can't sleep, she can't eat she is always on the computer".  He called me a computer junkie.  I think he would be a junkie too if he was hooked on APC and all the family websites I follow like gwenblog and waiting for sophie and others.  Following all these stories confirms that one day we will be in China meeting our daughter for the first time.  Reading the journals and seeing the pictures and videos make it very real.
